Josephine (Jo), is the younger sister of Miranda Sylvi. They were born a year apart and it was very hard for the eager Jo to watch her sister be trained as the Sylvi while she was expected to be in the background. Jo was determined to train as much if not harder than Miranda. The sisters were very close. Miranda, knowing how much Jo wanted to serve as the Sylvi often tried in vain to persuade her mother and the powers that be to allow them both to be the Sylvi. When those efforts fell short Miranda commissioned a special sword Modeled after the Enxiphas, the sword of the Sylvi. The Adelphixos or the Sister Sword would be Jo’s most prized possession. When Mina passed Jo and Amanda would perform the duties of the Sylvi together with Jo acting as Miranda’s first officer. After the events of Amanda’s kidnaping, Jo and Miranda had a harsh falling out and Jo would begin her life away from the Twist Islands and enlisted knighthood.
